My name is Eric Marshall and I was born in Oakland, California. My parents moved out east when I was 3 and I grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2016 with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Psychology, and worked for a few law firms before starting law school in 2020. After a year of studying remotely, I moved out to San Diego in 2021, and got barred in December of 2023 after passing the bar on my first attempt. I've worked for a variety of law firms, but mostly personal injury and estate planning law firms. Some of the other subject matters I gained experience in were disability law, employment law, intellectual property law, and family law. I chose personal injury as my main focus because I thought estate planning was too boring and I wanted to work on something more exciting. After I got barred I worked at the Legal Aid Society doing eviction defense for a few months, then I set my sights on opening my own firm. I opened my own firm in March of 2023 and have been sailing solo since then! My interests include reading, writing, watching TV shows, movies, playing board games, card games, and video games, hanging out with friends, and making beer.
